American Girl NEWS!
Just learned from an AG Fan Newsletter:
For those near Atlanta it seems AG will be opening up a Boutique store (an AG store that is smaller than an AG Place) in North Point Mall in Alpharetta, Georgia (northern suburb of Atlanta). Other rumors place more Boutiques in possibly Houston, Dallas, or Seattle. The store(s) may be opening in Fall 2007 and may include a bistro in addition to the store.
Kit Movie Rumors
It sounds like the planned Kit movie, which was to come out in theaters, will probably be delayed by AG until at least 2008, and will probably not be in theaters either. Other rumors have it that the movie is cancelled. We will keep you posted!

What do you mean kit's movie might be cancelled?!

I have mine crossed too! Maybe if they change it from the rumored big screen movie back to the TV movie it will be able to go through . . . it's all about the money unfortunately.

Hope so. Besides, rumors are rumors. They might not be entirely true.

If they are not doing Kit's movie, then why are there so many things that say 'Kit's movie trailer', or anything else about the movie?

I foundf information on the trailer at the coming soon websight.
Just googal Kit: an american girl in the great depression movie and it will come up!

I did find the references - Thanks! Unfortunately one is from July 2006 and another says the movie is still in development. I'm afraid that the most recent information from Mattel (see the Chicago newspaper story January 2007) pretty much puts an end to the movie for 2007. Keep your fingers crossed for 2008!

I am 15 years old and i love AG dolls.
I have a boyfriend, and he thinks that AG dolls are cute.
For my birthday this year, he and i went to the AG store in NY and had lunch there.
I think that AG dolls are for girls all ages.
Oh yeah, my friends all like AG dolls too. And if they dont play with them like most of them do, they still think that they are cool.
I will always play with AG dolls and i know that for a fact.
I just got Kit and i am going to keep her looking brand new so i can tell my kids (When i get them) that this doll is from 2007!!!

You can keep Kit in her box to keep her looking new but it's not recommended as they DON'T like it! If you treat her carefully she will look new enough in 25 or so years!!
