HBO and American Girl Kit Movie!

The New York Times printed the following on February 22, 2007:

HBO and American Girl, the Mattel-owned retailer of dolls, books, clothes, toys and other goods for young girls, announced an agreement yesterday for the production of films, series and documentaries. The inaugural project will be a live-action theatrical film based on Kit Kittredge, a historical doll representing a clever and resourceful 9-year-old growing up during the Depression. In the last five years television films derived from American Girl have included “Samantha: An American Girl Holiday,” “Felicity: An American Girl Adventure” and “Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front.”

Unfortunately it does NOT say when . . . but at least it is going to happen - I predict in 2008!

Madame Alexander New Baby Dolls

Spent the day at the San Francisco Gift Show and had a chance to preview lots of new items - but the most exciting are the new play baby dolls by Madame Alexander! They are 14" dolls with sweet faces and precious outfits. The BEST part is that they have doll clothes too!

If you are familiar with Alexander dolls you know that they don't always have individual outfits so it is VERY exciting . . . plus the outfits are very cute. We've ordered tham but they are not expected until June - sorry! In the meantime, we have a very special Madame Alexander Baby Doll assortment with more coming. . .

The dolls themselves are either bald (Baby Cuddles) or with rooted hair as in the picture here (dolls with hair also come with two pony tails.) The outfits include cute play outfits and a ballerina outfit (there's also a 12" baby doll outfit coming from Gotz).

Exciting news - we'll keep you updated!

PS: Lots of cute new 8 inch dolls too including a sweet Eloise and Madeline, poor Cinderella, an Irish Dancer and a Captain Hook! They will be joining our 8 inch Madame Alexander dolls now shown . . . and growing!

Precious Day Dolls by Gotz Are Here!

Hooray! The 2007 eighteen inch dolls are here! This picture shows the cute faces of Elisabeth and Jessica. You can see their full pictures plus Julia's picture in her Wesern outfit on our Gotz Doll page.

These dolls can wear the same clothes and shoes as American Girl dolls but cost quite a bit less . . . and actually their hair is better because it's rooted instead of being a glued on wig like those for American Girl.

They are adorable and ready for you!

Calling Daisy, Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts!

Look at these adorable Brownie outfits . . . your pick of a pants uniform or a skirt uniform! Both come with "badges" on their vest of sash. Too cute!

Not to be left out - here's the youngest Scout, the Daisy Scout in her blue shorts and tunic PLUS here's the Junior Girl Scout with her green sash of badges.

Time for your dolls to get their uniforms and join the Girl Scouts!
