Doll Identification Help
We get quite a few requests asking for help in identifying a doll or in determining the value of certain dolls. Unfortunately we do NOT have that expertise . . . but Jan Foulke's does!
She has published 16 editions of the Blue Book of Doll Values over the last 30 years. The latest book, published September 2006, is the most comprehensive and includes over 500 color photos.
The book is divided into the Antique and Vintage section which covers bisque, china etc and the Modern section which covers composition, hard plastic, vinyl and artists' dolls.
The book lists dolls alphabetically by maker, by material and sometimes by trade names; it covers dolls from all over the world and is an essential reference for doll collectors.
You should be able to find Jan Foulke's books at most on-line Book companies or request it at your local book store or library.

Try looking at the Patti PlayPal dolls - they were around that height but otherwise I'm not sure. Not my area of expertise! Good luck -

I have a composition doll that has the ID on the back of the head H.O. with the copyright sign in between the letters (at least that is what it looks like). it is approx 16 or 17" in height. It has hair that is molded into the head. Can you tell me who made this doll?
From Millie:
Sorry but none of us have that kind of knowledge. There are lots of good doll identification books - check out ont of the major book stores on=line like Amazon or Borders. Good luck!
