Rebecca Rubin, 1914 American Girl Doll!
Just received some information and pictures from the books coming about Rebecca!
She arrives (it appears) in a dark red or burgundy straight dress with a belt around the hipline and gold buttons down the front. Black cuffs and tiny collar are accents. NO bangs, curly brown hair (shoulder length) and a big white hairbow at the back of her head.
Her parents immigrated from Russia so her "doll" is a set of nesting dolls that were her mother's. She has a little brother and twin older sisters . . . her Mama has a cousin who is an actor! Rebecca wants to do that too.
In the second book, Ana, Rebecca's cousin arrives from Russia and the two families live together in New York City.
In the third book, Rebecca celebrates Hanukkah . . . she is wearing a very good looking lilac dress on the cover! She has a pretty pink dress on the fourth book's cover - and hat. It's called Rebecca and the Movies.
The plots of the books include immigration, Ellis Island, the Silver Screen and the Labor Movement.
Looks like fun!! Sorry but I don't yet have pictures to share but will try to find . . .
